Why the Bsure DNA test for filler treatments?
This patented test has been developed to better understand how your immune system will respond to the use of fillers. There is a chance that the use of fillers can lead to serious complications with long-lasting consequences.
You may have a genetic predisposition that makes your own immune system react to the fillers. The fillers are then rejected by your body.
About the test
Scientific research that forms the basis of the Bsure DNA test has shown that there is a certain genetic predisposition that puts someone at an increased risk of complications after a filler treatment. In the research study group, 84% of people who had the genetic predisposition had serious complications from fillers. The chance of having this genetic predisposition is small, but if you have the genetic predisposition, the risk of serious complications is high.
The Bsure DNA test shows whether you have this genetic predisposition. The result is therefore very simple; you have the genetic predisposition (positive) or not (negative). With a positive result, there is a high chance of getting serious complications after filler treatments. With a negative result, the chance of developing complications after a filler treatment is not excluded, but will be low. More information about the scientific background can be found in the frequently asked questions.
How does the test work?
After purchasing the test you will receive the sample collection kit, in order to take your saliva and DNA sample. You then send this test to our laboratory. A few weeks after sending the test, your doctor or the clinic you have chosen will contact you to discuss the results of the test. Read more about how the test works here.
